Professional boxer Anthony Ogogo has been confirmed as the ninth celebrity taking part in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing. The BBC announced their new addition on Friday morning on social media, saying: "Our ninth celeb to hit the #Strictly dance floor is a knock-out!"
Anthony said he's aiming to do well to make his family proud. "I've faced a lot of tough opposition in the past, but I've never faced anyone as tough as the Strictly judges before!" said the 26-year-old, who won bronze for Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

"My mum is a massive fan of the show, so I will be trying my hardest to make her proud."
Anthony is no stranger to success in his field, and will no doubt be hoping to walk away with the coveted Glitterball trophy come December. The Lowestoft-born athlete is the first sports stars confirmed for the 2015 series of Strictly, and follows in the footsteps of boxer Joe Calzaghe, who took part in the seventh series back in 2009.
Other celebrities confirmed so far this year include Peter Andre, BBC weather girl Carol Kirkwood, and actress Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter in EastEnders.
Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell, BBC Proms presenter Katie Derham, Georgia May Foote, Ainsley Harriott and Jeremy Vine are also taking part in the hugely popular series.
On Thursday it was revealed that singer Jess Glynn will be performing on the opening show next month. The Hold My Hand singer proudly announced the news to her 80,000 Twitter followers. "So excited to tell you guys! I'll be performing on the opening show of @bbcstrictly!!! I CAN'T WAIT!! 🎉🙈," she wrote.
The new series of Strictly kicks off with the launch show on Saturday 5 September, with the main series beginning later in the autumn.
