American Murder: The Family Next Door 

This new true-crime documentary looks at the heartbreaking deaths of Shanann Watts, her two daughters and her unborn child at the hands of her husband, Chris. Told entirely through archival footage including social media posts, law enforcement recordings, texts and home videos, the documentary has pieced together a heartbreaking look at their deaths and the subsequent police investigations.

Based on Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, this new Ryan Murphy drama series tells the origin story of asylum nurse. The synopsis reads: "In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind. 

The show is based on the character from the classic film

"On a clandestine mission, Mildred presents herself as the perfect image of what a dedicated nurse should be, but the wheels are always turning and as she begins to infiltrate the mental health care system and those within it, Mildred’s stylish exterior belies growing darkness that has long been smouldering within, revealing that true monsters are made, not born."

Starring Jennifer Garner, this 2018 film is at the top of Netflix's list at the moment. The action-thriller tells the story of a mother who is determined to get revenge of the cartel that killed her husband and daughter. While critics reviews weren't great at the time, it has certainly caught Netflix users' attention!

This charming family film follows Sherlock Holmes' younger sister Enola who goes on a search for her beloved mother after she mysteriously goes missing, much to the dismay of Mycroft Holmes, who wants her to become a well behaved young woman. Meeting Lord Tewksbury along the way, Enola is torn between keeping to her mission and helping him out.

We're not surprised that the popular Channel 4 show shot up to Netflix's top trends since landing on the streaming service! The show, where different friends and families give their opinions on TV shows and films, is the perfect easy viewing with plenty of laughs along the way.
