Gallery: As day 7 at Cannes draws to a close, Cara Delevingne and Marion Cotillard up the fashion stakes

Marion Cotillard took a fashion risk that paid off at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, wearing a white caped dress by Christian Dior Couture. As the Oscar-winning actress took to the red carpet for the premiere of Two Days One Night she accessorised the dress - which fell above the knee and featured a floral-patterned cape - with a pair of blue and black peep toe booties.

Other stars who pushed the envelope with their style choices at the premiere included Amber Heard in Vionnet, pairing a casual white T-shirt with a metallic, floor-length skirt and bold red lips, and Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio and Toni Garn who both wore revealing dresses.

Alessandra chose a silver dress which was split to the thigh, revealling her gorgeous long legs, and her sleek ponytail allowed her diamond drop earrings to be shown off to perfection.

Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend Toni Garn meanwhile wore an eye-catching white dress with cut-out panels across the neckline and a thigh-high split.

After the premiere Amber headed off to the De Grisogono party where she was joined by Rosie Huntington-Whitely, in a black Cushine et Ochs dress, and Cara Delevingne. The model was rocking her favourite smokey eye make-up look and had chosen a white embellished dress for the party. Also at the De Grisogono Fatale In Cannes Dinner Party were Elvis Presley's granddaughter Riley Keough, and Sharon Stone.

Elsewhere on the Cannes red carpet, Ryan Gosling ended a long day of photocalls with the premiere for his directorial debut Lost River.

Joining him were the stars of his flick: Christina Hedricks, Matt Smith and Ian de Caestecker.
