The Britain's Got Talent judge, who sits on the panel with Simon, also joked that he has asked to be Simon's guest judge during the judge's houses stage. "I really want to be Simon's helper at his judges' home in Barbados," David told The Sun. "I told him I'd come out of his closet but he said no. "Cheryl and Simon both announced their return to the hit ITV show earlier in 2014 and earlier in July, Cheryl surprised fans by revealing she had married her partner of three months in a secret ceremony.

Pop star Cheryl, 31, and Simon, announced her return to the show with a snap on Instagram which jokingly showed her hands around Simon's neck. Cheryl can be seen biting her lip in the image which reflects the playful rivalry they enjoyed over a few years on the UK show between 2008 and 2010.
