Mason Noise was given a second chance when he made it through to the X Factor judges' houses after Tom Bleasby surprisingly pulled out of the show. And although the contestant gave it his all, in an exclusive interview with HELLO! online, the controversial star revealed he was "ready to leave".

The 22-year-old from Birmingham left the show on Saturday after receiving the fewest votes from the public, which didn't surprise him.

Mason Noise was the fifth act to leave the show

"I think I was ready to leave whatever happened," he said. "Too much has happened to me to be surprised on this programme.

"I think it was my time, the further it went on I think I would have had to sacrifice too much of who I am to stay in the competition. My style wasn't reflected on the X Factor."

The former part-time waiter did confess that he will miss a lot of people following his departure, especially Nick Grimshaw.

The 22-year-old revealed he was not surprised at this exit

Speaking of his mentor, Mason said: "Nick was amazing, he is a dream, he literally is like my brother. It's an honour to call him my friend."

His fellow contestants will also be missed as well as living in the X Factor house. "Living in the house was really good, it was fun, like Big Brother." But he had a special friend in the house, Ché Chesterman. "Me and Che had a little bromance," he confessed. "I think he should win because he is my brother and I love him."

But which three acts does he think will battle it out to win? "I think Louisa, Ché and Reggie N Bollie will be in the final."

It's only been two days since he left the competition, but Mason is already looking forward to the future ahead, and top of the list is the X Factor Tour.

"I'm going to do some shows and get around the country and meet my supporters and keep it moving. We have the tour and I am buzzing for it, I hear it's a lot of fun."

He also has plans to work with top musicians: "I would like to do something with Pharrell, and maybe Kendrick on a verse of a song." Watch this space!
