Ant and Dec - £4million each

They're the kings of TV, having won the National Television Award for Most Popular Entertainment/TV Presenter for 15 consecutive years, so it comes as no surprise that Ant and Dec are the highest paid hosts on the box.

I'm a Celebrity, Britain's Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway are just some of the shows Ant and Dec bring us every year as part of a lucrative deal with ITV.

Dermot O'Leary - £3million

He went away for a year but Dermot O'Leary is back on The X Factor and earning more than ever before. In fact, his four year contract with the ITV talent show is worth a reported £8million – making him the highest paid solo presenter in the country.

Away from The X Factor, Dermot hosts a regular radio show on BBC Radio 2.

Gary Lineker - £3million

Retired footballer Gary is a regular on shows including Match of the Day, and last year joined the NBC Sports Network as part of its premiere league coverage.

Gary also has a very lucrative endorsement deal with Walkers Crisps, and has appeared in the adverts since 1995.

Clare Balding - £2.6million

Sports presenter Clare is a regular on our screens, covering events such Trooping the Colour and Crufts. She has also covered Wimbledon for Channel 5 since 1995.

She currently hosts her own chat show, The Clare Balding Show, which has attracted celebrity guests including Lewis Hamilton.

Graham Norton - £2.2million

He's a five-time BAFTA TV Award winner and has been hosting his own chat shows since 1998. He currently fronts The Graham Norton Show on BBC One, having claimed the prestigious Friday night slot in 2010.

Graham has a weekly show on BBC Radio 2 and hosts the Eurovision Song Contest every year.

Chris Evans - £2million

He's one of the country's highest earning TV presenters, but 2016 hasn't been easy for Chris. Last year he was announced as a presenter of Top Gear, alongside Matt LeBlanc, taking over from Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – a move that wasn't well-received by viewers.

Chris stepped down from his role as host in July, tweeting: "Gave it my best shot but sometimes that's not enough."

Phillip Schofield - £1million

Everyone's favourite silver fox, Phillip is a regular presenter on ITV's This Morning – having fronted the show since 2002. He also hosts All Star Mr & Mrs and You're Back In The Room, and narrates Educating Joey Essex.

Holly Willoughby - £1million

Holly is one of the most prominent faces on British television, and also happens to be Phillip's on-screen partner. She's a regular on Celebrity Juice, and also hosts Surprise, Surprise and Play to the Whistle.

In January 2016, Phillip suggested that, if Holly ever quit This Morning, he'd follow her.

Nick Grimshaw - £600,000

He's been a regular host on BBC Radio 1 since 2007, and took over from Chris Moyles in 2012 as presenter of The Radio 1 Breakfast Show.

But he got his biggest gig ever in 2015 when he joined the judging panel on The X Factor. However he was replaced by his predecessor Louis Walsh for the 2016 series.

Claudia Winkleman - £575,000

Claudia came to prominence in 2004, when she started hosting Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two.

But when main show presenter Bruce Forsyth stepped down in 2014, Claudia became Tess Daly's co-host – making them the only female presenting double act on television right now.
