Viewers were left surprised on Wednesday night when presenting duo Ant and Dec parted ways on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here

The pair were forced to split to save time and deliver news to the two divided camps on the show, but fans were not happy to see the cheeky pair apart. Taking to social media, viewers jokily complained about the pair's separation, comparing the Geordie duo to other pairs of things which should never be parted. One wrote: "It was weird seeing Ant & Dec without each other! Its like Tom with no Jerry," while another added: "Seeing Ant without Dec is like eating a burger without a bun, outright heart breaking." ITV's official Twitter account responded to the barrage of comments, tweeting: "OK guys. We promise we'll NEVER split @antanddec up again. Please stop panicking!"

Fans weren't happy to each the pair separated

Last night's episode saw the team of campers split in two after four campmates – Sam, Adam, Martin and Wayne – were given 'royal immunity' after winning a challenge, giving them a glamorous evening in a luxury camp while waited on by the losing members of the group, who were forced to do the royal camp's chores and provided evening entertainment for the lucky four.

ITV jokily promised not to part them again

Adam took on the role of a power crazed monarch and called the other camp up so they could perform their duties. Speaking about his role, Martin joked: "The second call pretty soon was from Adam who took the position of power like a crazed dictator." Scarlett opened up about working for the other camp, saying: "It's typical.  Every time I got comfy, or I started to have a little nap or lay down, I'd have to go and do another job for the royals… I've just been so busy today.  I've actually enjoyed it because I've been Vice President and President other than shadowing and delegating jobs I haven't really been able to get stuck in."
