Love Actually star Laura Linney has revealed she has signed up for the American version of the sequel. Last Friday fans of the film got to see the debut of Red Nose Day Actually during Comic Relief's telethon. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Laura - who played American woman Sarah - explained: "I'd done something for the last Red Nose Day. So I'd kept in touch with Richard Curtis. And then he sent me an email, explaining this short film reunion. I said yes, obviously. How could I say no? And right away we were figuring out our schedules."

In the original film, Laura's character was left torn between caring for her mentally ill brother as she tried to embark on a romance with handsome co-worker Karl, played by Rodrigo Santoro. The 53-year-old also disclosed that her scenes will be filmed next month, but has insisted she doesn't know the fate of Sarah. She added: "I have no idea what I’m doing yet. Not a clue."
