Miranda Hart has addressed reports that she is making her TV return. The former Call the Midwife star has taken to Twitter to clarify reports that she is launching her own gardening show, telling fans that it is in fact her mum's programme, and she'll only be playing a cameo role. Replying to one Twitter user, she wrote: "Sorry but it's my Mum fronting the new show. I narrate only and make a tiny cameo. She's amazing though! Hope you like." Miranda later followed it up with another tweet, posting: "No. I am doing the voice over and have a little cameo. It's my Mum's show and all the better for it."

The comedienne, 44, will make a brief appearance in Down The Garden Path With Dee Hart Dyke. The three-part gardening show will see Dee, 77, travel around the UK, helping people perfect their gardens. The green-fingered celebrity mum spends more than eight hours outdoors every day, and hates going on long holidays for fear her garden will overgrow. The show will be made by Miranda and her friend David Walliams' company King Bert Productions and will air on More4.
