Michelle Keegan is back! The 29-year-old actress has reprised her role as Corporal Georgie Lane in BBC One drama, Our Girl. The first photo of the pretty star has been released, showing Michelle in her army get-up complete with sturdy boots. In the third series, fans will see her character travel to Nepal for a relief mission, after a devastating earthquake hits the region. The mission has "hazardous and unpredictable consequences" for army girl Georgie, who was kidnapped by a terrorist group in Kenya in series two.

Michelle's character Georgie will take part in three separate missions in the twelve-part series, which is due to air on BBC One later this year. Newcomer Shalom Brune-Franklin, star of Barracuda and Crossing The Border, will join the cast as Private Maisie Richards while Luke Pasqualino, Georgie's love interest and ex-fiancé, will return as Special Forces Officer Elvis Harte. Ben Aldridge, who is best known for Fleabag and Lark Rise to Candleford, will reprise his role as Captain James.

"I'm so happy to be shooting the new series of Our Girl out in Nepal and so very excited to bring more stories of Georgie Lane to life," said Michelle. "It's an amazing experience to be working on such important stories with such an incredible group of people."

The Ordinary Lies star arrived in Nepal earlier this month to begin filming. Michelle shared a photo on Instagram of herself sitting on the steps in Kathmandu Durbar Square, cradling her head in her hands as she smiled broadly. "Last day in Nepal... what an amazing eye opening journey. Coming away with a totally different perspective on life. Feeling very blessed and thankful. #itsthelittlethings #glasshalffull #ourgirl3," she wrote.

The third series will air later this year on BBC One

The actress, who is due to celebrate her second wedding anniversary with husband Mark Wright in a few days, will continue filming in Malaysia and South Africa over the next few months, where they shot scenes for the previous series in 2016. Writing about her upcoming trip in her HELLO! Online blog, Michelle opened up about her travel plans. "I can't believe I will be away for a whole three months," she wrote. "Fortunately I will be back for a bit to attend a couple of very important 'dos' in the summer but then I will be off again for more filming with the series."
