Elle Fanning debuted her brand new hair colour as she stepped out for the premiere of her new film The Boxtrolls on Sunday. The pretty actress opted to change her trademark blonde locks and become a brunette instead, going for a glossy shade of chocolate brown. However, Elle didn't stop at the colour when it came to her new look, showing off a new sleek bob, a contrast to her previously long tresses. Selecting a strapless top with three bows on the front, the Curious Case of Benjamin Button actress finished off her ensemble with some black tailored trousers and peep toe shoes. For accessories, Elle opted for a minimalist approach, wearing almost no jewellery except for a couple of rings. Elle, who is Dakota Fanning's younger sister, stars opposite the likes of Ben Kingsley, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in new animated film The Boxtrolls, however she made waves in the film industry earlier this year when she starred opposite Angelina Jolie in Maleficent. "It's kind of a dream to say that you even met her," said Elle of working with Angelina. "Let alone to be in scenes with her. It was really, really cool." "She really got into her character in a way," she added. "It was super exciting. Everything was so fun!" Elle will also star in upcoming film Young Ones, set to be released later this year, opposite Nicholas Hoult.
