Christmas can leave you feeling bloated but a detox can get your fitness back on track
Drink hot water with lemon
Try vegetable juicing and drinking hot water with lemon to support your liver whilst detoxing. Lemon has strong antibacterial and immune boosting powers, as well as being a great digestive aid and liver cleanser.
Get your protein fix
A good intake of protein is believed to be necessary to support the liver's natural detoxing process, and helps maintain muscle mass. Try grains, nuts and seeds to get your daily amount, whilst also making for healthy snacking!
Try and stick to organic foods
Eating good quality, organic wholefoods is highly recommended. Avoid being exposed to toxins by sticking to foods that have been processed or refined as little as possible, and that are free from additives and other artificial substances.
Do gentle exercise
Eliminate toxins with gentle exercise such as walking or yoga. Or, if you need some relaxation after the hectic Christmas period, try body brushing, a massage, or bathing in Epsom Salts – these are an excellent way of helping to detox your body, whilst also being relaxing!
