There is a definite taste in the UK for French pharmacy products, none more so than La Roche Posay's Zinc Sulphate Spray Serozinc.

It's been touted as a must-have hero product by skincare expert and blogging queen Caroline Hirons, whose recommendation triggered a cult following, including YouTube sensations Vivianne Does Make-Up, Amelia Liana and Hello October.

So what exactly is it? An aerosol toner made of a zinc sulphate solution, designed to be sprayed on bare skin or over make-up to counter oiliness and blemishes, keeping breakouts at bay.

"It really helps calm blemishes and intensely smoothes aggravated skin," says HFM's beauty intern Elle. "The cotton-pad-free application is also rather handy as you can just spray and go. The best part is it leaves my skin looking clear and fresh."

Up until now it was almost impossible to get your hands on one, even after it became available in the UK, but now you can get your hands on one online, or in Boots stores from April.

Serozinc, £8.50 is now available to buy online at www.escentual.com before it will hit Boots nationwide in April.
