Do you spend as much time applying skincare to your neck and décolletage as you do your face?
According to a study conducted by beauty giant Elizabeth Arden, only 32% of us use a neck or chest treatment. This has led to a 'mismatch' in which our faces appear youthful but our chest and necks reveal tell-tale signs of aging.
Art Pellegrino, Vice President of Research and Development argues, "The neck and décolleté is similar to the delicate skin around the eyes and one of the first areas to show aging."
This is because the skin structure on our neck and décolleté is much thinner and more fragile that that of our faces. This makes these areas much more vulnerable to environmental aggravators such as sun damage as well as loss of elasticity and the appearance of fine lines and age spots.
With this in mind, Elizabeth Arden has recently launched an Anti-Aging Neck and Décolleté Firm and Repair Cream, £85 to the Prevage line-up, designed to firm, repair and smooth ageing skin and reduce fine lines and crepiness.
Currently available exclusively to Boots and nationwide from 1 March.
