Log on to Instagram and you can’t escape the constant stream of hot bods and Victoria's Secret models’ strutting their stuff in the gym. Boxing, barre, you name it, glowing skin and toned tummies are everywhere. But it’s these keep fit feeds that have spurred Australian supermodel, Hannah Saul to launch her own app that gives us mere mortals the motivation, tools and advice we need to work out on our own.
Riding the wave of the at-home workout trend that self-starters like Joe Wicks and Kayla Itsines have been championing, instead of having to sign up and pay for an extensive package, Hannah’s HANxFIT app can be downloaded for free and then you get to pick and choose how many workouts you want to try in your own time. The first is free and after that they ring in at £2.99 per routine – less than your average gym class for sure and you don’t have to go out in the cold!
It’s probably why there has been over 10,000 downloads in the first week! Using your own body weight alongside cardio moves and strengthening exercises to get that strong and svelte physique, the written explanations and video tutorials mean you can feel confident you’re performing every move correctly to ensure each rep gives maximum results. Time poor excuses don’t cut it either. Divided into 10, 20 or 30 minutes slots, there’s no excuse not to squeeze some calorie-burning action into your day!
We caught up with Hannah to give us the lowdown on the app and her ultimate inspa-bods...
Why did you choose to do an app over online workouts on your website or YouTube?
I have built the site for all devices so as well as the app I also have a pay per workout at www.thexcast.com and I hope to have in AppleTV by the end of the year. Plus I’m designing the app for Apple Watch too.
Will the workouts change so people don't get bored?
Yes, every few months I will load new programs into the app to keep the content fresh.
Are there different workouts for women with different fitness levels?
Absolutely! I have beginner, Intermediate and Advanced and I'm also looking at making new workouts with experienced PTs for women post baby birth.
So what's unique about HANxFIT compared to other exercise apps?
I am not quite sure if it's unique, but I'm giving people the tools they need for exercising when they’re on the go all the time. I'm a busy person so I practice what I preach – anyone can tell you to put yourself through grueling diets and exercise schedules but I want you to enjoy life and train on the run when it suits you, the App is all that in one.
