Fancy changing up your hair colour for A/W? Forget the recent denim, rainbow and, dare we say, succulent-inspired hair shades that we saw over the summer, these softer tints are our must-have colours for this season...

Rose Gold

We first got a glimpse of this trend back in 2013, when Sienna Miller debuted her statement rose gold do’ at the British Fashion Awards. Fast-forward three years, and this grown-up take on pink is still very much on our radar. With the likes of Hailey Baldwin and Kylie Jenner taking the plunge this year, opt for metallic dusky pink tones for a cool-girls’ alternative to bubblegum pink.

Tiger Eye

We all love a good balayage, but this new incarnation is our latest Instagram obsession. The name comes from the semiprecious Tiger’s Eye gemstone, which has distinct golden and reddy-brown stripes running through it.

It’s said to be a protection stone that signifies confidence and inner strength (don’t you know). Thankfully, this dye job doesn’t resemble Nicole Richie circa 2000 with those awful blonde and dark brown stripes! The colourist applies caramel, copper and brown tones using the freehand balayage technique for a glossy and universally flattering colour.

Chocolate Mauve

The name alone is enough to have our mouths watering! Created by Brooklyn-based colourist Hannah Edelman, this look incorporates a blend of purple, pink and rich brown shades. The result? A warm chocolatey tone that’s just perfect for autumn. There are endless colour combinations to try, too: chocolate and rose gold, lavender tips and chocolate with strawberry milk. Warning: not suitable for consumption!
