The next Sex And The City film has only just started lensing, but the Carrie Bradshaw effect is already being felt, with Rachel Stevens channelling Carrie’s curls. And it’s so simple to recreate…
The trick is to take two-inch square sections of hair and grab the ends between the barrel and arm of large curling tongs.
Then quickly wrap hair around the outside of both, twisting as you go so the curl kinks with each bend.
Stop when you reach the temple – going straight up to the roots is a tad too 1980s yet - even through the new SATC flick is rumoured to feature an ‘80s flashback.
Leave for just a few seconds for the heat of the tongs to set the curl then carefully unwind and leave to cool.
When the whole head is finished, leave sections around the face untouched while shaking through the rest of the hair with fingers then brushing through and finishing with a touch of backcombing so hair looks casually undone.
Lightly separate the front sections with fingers so the curls still look defined but broken up.
