Coronation Street favourite Lucy Fallon has showcased a new look – of sorts. The blonde actress took to Instagram stories on Thursday to share a number of photos of her rocking a chocolate brown bob with a sweeping side fringe. The volume heavy cut suited the star, who was dressed in a leopard print coat and orange jumper. "Hair change," she captioned the photo. In a second post, Lucy is seen in the hair and make-up room at the ITV studios, sitting in the styling seat posing for a selfie. "New hair new me x" she wrote underneath the image.

While Lucy's hair was revealed to only be a wig, the fun posts hinted her return to the ITV soap, following speculation that she had left for good after her character's abrupt departure on Wednesday night's episode. Following hair and make-up, the 21-year-old went to join fellow Corrie co-star Colson Smith, who plays Craig Tinker in the show. The pair had fun practicing their dabbing, with Lucy posting a photo of Colson in action mid-filming on the cobbles.

It's been a busy year for Lucy, who impressed viewers with her acting skills throughout the harrowing grooming storyline, which concluded in October with Bethany leaving for Milan after her court case against Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper).  Wanting to ensure that the scenes were authentic to real life, both Lucy and Chris spent time talking to victims of abuse throughout filming. Lucy previously told the Loose Women panel: "We spoke to the NSPCC, we spoke to someone called Lucy who told us her story. If I am finding it difficult, I think about her.”

On Wednesday, Bethany phoned her mum Sarah (Tina O'Brien) to tell her that she wouldn’t be returning to Weatherfield. Following the call, Sarah revealed: "She's decided that she wants to stay out in Milan for good" leaving fans worried that her departure was permanent.
