Jennifer Aniston is not only one of Hollywood's best-dressed stars, but is also renowned for her effortlessly chic and laidback hairstyles. The 46-year-old wowed at the 2015 Oscars when she stepped out in a dazzling Versace dress, wearing her honey-coloured locks down in her trademark loose, beach-style waves.

Jennifer Aniston has revealed she prefers to wear her hair down on the red carpet

"I just wanted to be comfortable that day," the former Friends star told Fashionista. "The dress just fit like a glove and I felt so comfortable.I don’t like [to wear] my hair up very much. I’m not an up-do kind of gal. I feel like if you’re wearing a gown with glitter, you want to have beachy, natural hair to kind of go against that. So that’s sort of my main thing, being me. Being comfortable."

Throughout the years, American beauty's glossy locks have seen legions of fans rushing to salons to recreate her various styles, from 'The Rachel' during her time on Friends to her poker straight shoulder-length 'dos. However, Jennifer revealed that because of her active lifestyle she doesn't spend too much time on her hair, and doesn't wash it every time in between workouts.

"A little sweat in the hair is nice," she explained. "It's like a little product. You just blow it out with your fingers and it's actually just fun."

While on the red carpet, Jennifer prefers to wear her hair down, she has yet to reveal any details about her bridal look for when she ties the knot with Justin Theroux, to whom she has been engaged since 2012. The actress recently revealed that the couple have yet to decide all the details of their nuptials, including the type of ceremony they will be having.

"There's a big discussion in our house right now," she told InStyle. "Do you just do it and say screw it? Or do you try desperately to get away with (a secret ceremony) where you don't have any fun because you’re hiding in a cave somewhere? If we could do it without all the buzzing and the noise… It can be done. When there's a will, there's a way!"
