Harry Styles plans to grow out his hair to donate to charity

Host James began to quiz Harry about the length of his tresses, following the singer's appearance at the Royal Variety Performance where Prince Harry reportedly asked him about his hair.

"Is this true – that Prince Harry asked a question that I am wondering?" the British Comedian asked. "He asked about your hair, and quite where we're going with it at the moment?"

"When's it going to stop?" he quipped. "What style is the next, Styles?"

Harry, who was joined by bandmates Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson on the show, simply gestured to his chest to show the length he wanted.

He then revealed that he would like to keep growing out his hair until it is at least nine inches long, because this is the minimum length required in order to be able to donate it to charity.

It proved to be a particularly memorable show for Harry, as he later lost a game of 'Tattoo Roulette' on the show which saw him getting a permanent inking of the words 'Late Late' in a quirky tribute to the programme – much to the relief of his bandmates who were also playing the game.

One Direction will be taking an extended break in 2016

One Direction were promoting their new album Made in the A.M, their last release before they take an extended break in March 2016. The group broke hearts around the world earlier this year when they announced their decision to take a hiatus, but were quick to reassure their fans that the break was just temporary.

"Ok so Lots of rumours going round," Niall wrote on Twitter after the news broke. "We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year."
