Jude Law debuted a mohawk hairstyle on Tuesday

The handsome actor showed off his new look by leaving his locks tousled, the sides shaved and short for a striking finish. He also flaunted his style credentials in a tailored blazer and trousers, paired with a white shirt for an effortlessly cool finish.

Jude's latest look hasn't come as a complete shock to eagle-eyed fans who have noted that he has been growing out his hair into the style in recent months.

He debuted a first glimpse of the upcoming 'do when he hit the premiere of new TV series The Young Pope, in which he stars opposite Diane Keaton, and has since been spotted continually rocking the look when out and about.

The Talented Mr. Ripley star's makeover could be for a role, following the news this week that he will star opposite Rooney Mara in upcoming drama Vox Lux, which follows the story of Celeste, a pop star who rises to fame after a series of unusual circumstances.

Filming for the project is expected to start in January in New York, prompting some fans to speculate as to whether Jude is working towards growing a larger mohawk style in time for the start of the year.

The actor has been hard at work filming The Young Pope in recent months, and has kept relatively quite about what fans can expect from the highly-anticipated series. However, Jude did break his silence to reveal the most difficult part of taking on the role.

"At the moment, it’s that I can only sit on a very uncomfortable sort of stool because they don’t want my papal robes to get creased," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "So I have to sort of hitch them up and put them over the stool and perch. So once I put the robes on, I usually spend the day, 14 hours, whatever, unable to sit. So I look great, but I’m very uncomfortable."
