14 celebrities showing off their gorgeous hair transformations after lockdown

Since hair salons reopened on 4 July, we've been flocking to the professionals to wave goodbye to our split ends, say adios to our greys and utter a huge bonjour to bouncy, beautiful hair. 

We weren't the only ones either as celebrities such as Ruth Langsford and Mrs Hinch have been showing off their hair transformations all over social media – some have even completely overhauled their style, we’re looking at you, Myleene Klass. Let's take a look at some celebs who have shown off their new cut and colour…

Ruth Langsford

The This Morning star was up bright and early on Saturday – 7am! – to visit her loyal hairdresser Leo Bancroft's salon in Weybridge, to "get my blonde on". Ruth's hair was noticeably lighter, with her signature fringe now perfectly framing her face, and not a split end in sight!

Myleene Klass

Myleene probably had one of the most dramatic transformations we’ve seen – ditching her long dark locks for a choppy blonde bob – we love it! Sharing a pouty photo on Instagram, she simply captioned the snap: "Hurr." Needless to say, her followers were all in agreement that her new look is fierce!

Lorraine Kelly

Have you noticed Lorraine Kelly's gorgeous new hair colour? The TV host delighted fans by sharing a hilarious selfie taken at the hairdressers, with her hair still wrapped in foils! Lorraine, who could be seen wearing a face mask, revealed safety was a priority, writing: "Finally got hair coloured yesterday - thank you @maleekarobb at @fourlondon - all safety measures firmly in place. Felt very reassured."

Mrs Hinch

Mrs Hinch braved the chop! After weeks of growing her long blonde hair during the lockdown, the cleaning influencer decided to go for a drastic change, showing off her new choppy bob and brighter colour on Instagram.

Piers Morgan

It's not just the ladies who have taken full advantage of the hair salons reopening – Piers Morgan paid a Saturday morning visit to his local Daniel Galvin in Kensington. Sharing the process on Instagram, Piers thanked his hairdresser for restoring "my head to vaguely camera-ready status". 

Storm Keating

Ronan Keating's wife Storm felt "like a new woman" after being the first customer in her hairdressers chair on Saturday morning. Sharing the results on Instagram, Storm happily revealed her freshly-highlighted locks. Although it appears she opted for just a trim as her hair still looks lusciously long. 

Lisa Faulkner

Lisa Faulkner proudly showed off her new blonde roots after getting her highlights done - and it looks like she's got a small side fringe cut in, too! "Say goodbye to roots, " she wrote, tagging London salon Neville Hair and Beauty. After sharing a before-and-after comparison of her hair colour, Lisa said: "Am blonde again!"

Amber Gill

Former Love Island star Amber Gill seemed thrilled with her new braided hair, which she showed off on Instagram. She swapped her short brunette curls for blonde, honey tones and wore her braids half-up in a top knot, and fans were obsessed with her new look. Fellow Love Island star Laura Anderson commented, "Omg yes," while another added, "You suit your hair like that."

Jane Moore

Loose Women star Jane Moore enjoyed a full pampering session, not only giving her hair a makeover with a fresh cut and colour but also getting a pedicure! And she seemed very pleased with the results as she captioned her before-and-after pictures: "Hallelujah - finally got myself along to @richardwardhair for a pit stop where my Gollum-esque toes were painted by Vita, my Ronald McDonald style colour rectified by Ryan and my split ends banished by Nando with a great cut. And bless them, they all managed not to laugh when I walked in (exhibit A). Quite an achievement."

Frankie Bridge 

Frankie Bridge joked that she was excited to ditch her "Lego head" hair after making a trip to the hairdressers. "The lovely @mwselley sorted my hair colour out too! So I'm no longer a Lego head! Hooray!" she captioned a selfie.

Lucy Mecklenburgh

New mum Lucy Mecklenburgh had a subtle change but you can certainly notice the difference. Her colour has been revived and there is now a clear difference in her ombre tones. She also had a good two inches chopped and the length now looks much more uniform just above her shoulders.

Robert Downey Jr

Robert Downey Jr was looking very groomed as he enjoyed a haircut following the COVID-19 lockdown. Wearing a face mask as he cut the famous actor's hair, celebrity hairstylist Davy Newkirk wrote: "The New Normal. Back at it with @robertdowneyjr photo: @jimmy_rich."

Vogue Williams

While some have been looking forward to having their split ends removed with a fresh cut, Vogue Williams was excited to make her hair even longer with hair extensions sent from Great Lengths Ireland. Showing off her thick, long blonde hair, courtesy of Hadley Yates, the mum-to-be wrote: "I know it's silly to be excited about hair extensions but I have missed them SO much! I cannot wait until beauty salons open next."

Kate Ferdinand

How incredible does Kate look with her freshly-coloured hair? The pregnant star shared a before and after photo of her trip to the hairdressers on her Instagram Stories, and her darker ombre lockdown colour has been transformed into a much brighter blonde balayage style. "And finally...fresh hair. Thank you @tialambourn_hair," Kate wrote.
