Nutrition: Omega-3s may reduce Alzheimer's risk A study published in the Journal Of Neurology has suggested diets high in omega-3 may reduce the risk of Alzheimer's and other dementias by up to 60 per cent. The study, which involved more than 8,000 people over the age of 65 during a period of four years, also indicated that even one portion of oily fish a week cut the risk by a third.
