Sarah Beeny's walk for health

Property guru wants to raise cash for cancer

Sarah will be taking part in the Crocus Walk in March to raise money for breast cancer research

As a TV presenter, author, property developer, mother of three and internet entrepreneur – she started the dating website – Sarah Beeny is undoubtedly a busy woman.

But having lost her mother at the age of 10 – when her mum was just 39 – Sarah also finds time to lend her support to charity.

Which is why she has just announced the beginning of this year's Crocus Walk, a campaign that will run through March to raise funds for breast cancer research and which Sarah will be joining.

"Holding a Crocus Walk is a great excuse to get together with your loved ones while making a real difference for Breakthrough Breast Cancer," Sarah says.

The aim of the campaign is to get people organising walks - whether it's a stroll in the park or a hike in the hills - with their friends, family, colleagues or entire community and to use the opportunity to raise funds for the charity.

Many supporters dedicate their Crocus Walks to loved ones affected by breast cancer, although, as Sarah says: "My Crocus Walk is an opportunity for me to spend quality time with my family and friends out and about in the fresh spring air."

And, of course, it's well-known that regular exercise helps fight cancer in general as well.

There's plenty of time to organise a Crocus Walk for the charity in March and you'll be given ideas, tips and advice at or on 0845 059 7707.
