Most women find the heartbreak diet to be the least welcome, but most effective, method of losing unwanted pounds.
Which must prove Cheryl Cole has recovered from her marriage break-up because the singer has declared the blood-type diet to be the secret behind her slender frame.
Talking recently to HELLO! magazine, Cheryl revealed how her mother introduced her to Dr D'Admao’s 'Eat Right 4 Your Type' diet, whereby she eats and avoids specific foods based entirely on her blood type.
"It has made such a difference, not just to my shape, but to how I feel and my energy levels," Cheryl told HELLO! Other fans of the plan include Martine McCutcheon and Australian model Miranda Kerr.
According to the plan, if you are:
Blood type O, you should go for a high protein, low carb diet, cutting out wheat and most other grains.
Blood type A, you should eat a mainly vegetarian diet that’s low in fat and high in carbs.
Blood type B, you should eat a varied diet including meat and dairy products.
Blood type AB, you have a mix of the benefits and disadvantages of both A and B and can therefore eat most of the foods recommended for those blood types.
If you don’t know your blood type, you can have it tested with the Eldoncard Blood Typing kit, £6, from nutricentre.com (0845 602 7197) where you can also buy the Eat Right 4 Your Type book, £8.99, as well as Dr D’Admao’s recipe book and supplements.
