In the snaps shared by his personal trainer Aaron Williamson on Instagram, the Whiplash star can be seen hard at work during a gruelling workout, flaunting his impressive muscles while lifting weights. Aaron revealed that he had "so much respect" for the actor, who continues to wow him with his dedication.

The photo immediately caused a social media meltdown, as fans praised J.K. for his hard work – and also shared their surprise at his drastic and impressive transformation.

It comes as no surprise that J.K. chose to enlist Aaron to help him get in shape – the fitness guru also works with stars including Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, and James Marsden.

Posting another photo that gave his followers a glimpse into J.K.'s workouts, Aaron admitted that the actor was often turning heads at the gym with his gruelling fitness routine.

"Saturday morning, 61 years old & making the young generation jealous," Aaron captioned a photo of J.K. mid-workout. "This is what dedication looks like. #JKSimmons."

It's no doubt set to be a busy few months for J.K., who will be starring as Commissioner Gordon in Justice League: Part One. The highly anticipated superhero film, set to be released in 2017, will also see Ben Affleck returning as Batman and Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, alongside a star-studded cast including Amy Adams and Amber Heard.
