Drew Barrymore has revealed her unusual make-up trick

"After I do my evening skincare routine, I line my outer lower lashes with soft-black pencil – usually Flower That's So Kohl – before I go to bed" she told Allure magazine.

The Charlie's Angels actress admitted her methods may seem slightly unorthodox, but she felt she reaped the benefits by saving time when getting ready in the morning.

"It sounds a little crazy, but I wake up with the perfect smudgy eye make-up," she explained. "I can roll out of bed, do absolutely nothing and get compliments on my make-up."

There's no doubt that the star has already firmly established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of beauty, with the mother-of-two continuing to expand her Flower Beauty cosmetics line.

Drew has been taking a step back from the world of acting

Recent months have seen her take a step back from the world of acting, to focus on spending quality time with her children.

"I felt that my life started the day my kids were born and everything I had before was something to be used as wisdom and experience for them," Drew told HELLO!, speaking about her experience of motherhood. "It's like life really wasn't as important before they were born but you don't want to have not have existed because it gives you tips along the way."

Drew has also been working on her other businesses, such as Barrymore Wines, but revealed when she is away from her children she ensures she stays in touch.

She explained: "But I send videos and pictures all day. I'm like, 'Here's the museum, here are some little birdies that live in the hotel – they are called love-birds and they are in love – and here's a tree and here's me walking down the street.' It's exhausting and by the end of the day, Olive is probably sick of me."
