Olivia Palermo has revealed the beauty rule she always follows

"There's no excuse for not taking off your make-up," she told Allure. "I don't use a fancy product. I just wipe my face with Vaseline and a cotton pad every night before bed."

The American beauty also admitted that she tries to avoid including too many beauty products in her regime, preferring to stick to the basics. "I don't like to hoard products," she explained. "I like things very tidy, including my bathroom. I always say, if your things are in chaos, then your life will feel chaotic. I can't live like that."

Olivia has previously spoken up about her skincare routine

"My skincare is always the same regardless of whether I have anywhere to be or not," she told Marie Claire. "I've gone to see my dermatologist Dr. Dennis Gross since I was 14 years old, so I use his skincare products."

She added: "I always do my hair and make-up for myself in the morning - it makes me feel good. Every day is a new day so I like to start with a fresh face, fresh hair, fresh everything."
