TV presenter and charity campaigner Katie Piper has become a mum for the first time, HELLO! can exclusively reveal. The inspiring 30-year-old gave birth to a 7lb 1oz baby girl - whom she and her carpenter boyfriend James, 29, have named Belle Elizabeth - early this morning.
“I am so overwhelmed with happiness,” Katie told HELLO! "I literally can't stop looking at her, she's just beautiful. After all the operations I've had, this one has given me my daughter - it's just the most special feeling in the world,” added Katie, who gave birth by Caesarean.
“We are so excited and looking forward to spending some time getting to know our baby daughter,” she continued. Aspiring model Katie’s life changed forever in 2008 when she became the victim of a brutal acid attack, engineered by her violent ex-boyfriend.

The story of her recovery was made into the moving documentary, Katie: My Beautiful Face, which touched the hearts of millions of viewers, including music mogul – and fellow new parent - Simon Cowell.

He has since become patron of her charity, the Katie Piper Foundation, which she set up to help and support fellow burns survivors. In an exclusive interview with HELLO! in December, the excited mum-to-be said the pregnancy was the start of a whole new life.
“The other night I was at a charity ball and everyone I met wanted to talk to me about the baby, not about my burns and my recovery and I thought, ‘Halleluja!’ “I feel like I have a new start.”
