David Tennant and his wife Georgia recently announced the happy news that they had extended their family, welcoming their fifth child in October 2019. Previously opening up welcoming his daughter, five-year-old Doris, back in 2014 on the Jonathan Ross Show, he said: "We're quite pleased. We managed to [keep that] under the radar, which is how we like to do it on the whole." However, the former Good Omens star previously said their family could now be complete after having two sons and two daughters. Chatting on the show, he was asked if he thought it would be the couple's last child, David said: "I think, probably? We'll see… I think we're a very happy family." How times change!

David Tennant said he has a 'very happy family'

David met Georgia, now 35, on the set of Doctor Who when she starred as his daughter in an episode of the BBC show. Their new baby, whose name and gender they have kept a secret, is the younger sibling of Ty, 17, Olive, eight, Wilfred, six, and five-year-old Doris. Their baby had a health scare over Christmas when their temperature spiked, and they spent several days in hospital. Georgia shared a photo of her youngest child being treated while thanking the NHS, saying: "After being checked over by 2 ‘over the top’ NHS nurses and another 2 ‘over the top’ NHS doctors, the now slightly lethargic baby was admitted. What ensued over the subsequent six days will haunt me forever but now back home, on the sofa, my baby tube free and pink again I take away one thing; our NHS is magic."

David and Georgia recently welcomed their fifth child

Given that the couple's relationship blossomed on the set of Doctor Who, it comes as no surprise that their children are fans of the show. Talking to Jonathan Ross, David admitted: "[My eldest] Ty grew up with it but the younger two have just got into it. And I did not force this upon them! My wife and I met on Doctor Who and they saw a picture, they got wind of that. So they wanted to see it and they watched the episode we met on, and then they developed this passion for it. So it's now on in our house all the time, which is embarrassing when people come round because it looks like there's a moving shrine to myself in the corner of the living room at all times." This is still certainly the case, as Georgia shared a snap of their baby watching the show, jokily captioning the post: "Indoctorination."
