Chris O'Dowd and Dawn O'Porter have become parents. The low-key couple confirmed the birth of their baby son on Twitter on Sunday – a week after their little bundle of joy was born. New dad Chris, who shot to Hollywood stardom in Bridesmaids, shared the happy news in his typical comedic manner by posting a photoshopped image of a baby with his facial hair and Dawn's trademark brunette bob.

Dawn and Chris have welcomed a baby boy called Art

He wrote alongside the snap: "It's a boy! @hotpatooties & I would like to introduce Art O'Porter, our gorgeous baby. Well, I'm pretty sure he's ours." Dawn retweeted the message before adding: "Thanks all. He is one week old today. It's been a beautiful week. I think we'll definitely keep him;)." Baby Art is believed to have been born in Los Angeles where the Irish actor and British writer and TV personality are currently living. Chris, 35, and 36-year-old Dawn appear to have made a smooth transition to parenthood. They both managed to watch their preferred viewing on TV, despite having a newborn baby at home. Dawn revealed that her hubby was watching the US sporting event of the year while she was watching some reality TV in a tweet: "My husband is watching the Super Bowl in one room, I'm watching a Say Yes To The Dress marathon in another. #CLICHEOVERLOAD."

The couple had their baby in Los Angeles, where they met and are currently based

The couple announced their baby news in August in a video clip of Chris' ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Upon completing the challenge, which involves pouring a bucket of icy cold water over his head to raise awareness and funds for Lou Gehrig's disease, the hunk said: "I'd like to nominate Richard Ayoade, Graham Linehan and Baby O'Porter. So brave." He then panned the camera over to TV presenter Dawn, who shrieked as she poured a small glass of ice cubes and water over her baby bump. The pair, who met through mutual friends at the brunette beauty's 30th birthday party in Los Angeles, married in 2012 in what Dawn described as a "three day love fest."
