Kian Egan and his wife Jodi Albert have welcomed their second baby boy into the world. The Westlife singer announced the happy news on Facebook, writing that the couple were "so in love" with the new addition to their family.

Kian also explained that his eldest son Koa, who is three and a half years old, was given his "wish".

"Koa got his wish when his baby brother Zeke was born this morning at 7.49am weighing 7lb 13oz," the proud dad wrote.

"Both Jodi and Zeke are doing great," he added. "We are all so happy and so in love with him x."

The birth will have been particularly emotional for Jodi as she welcomed her second son on her late mother's birthday. The actress' mum Eileen passed away in February of this year, after suffering a long battle with cancer.

At the time Jodi released a statement announcing: "My beautiful little mummy passed away peacefully with her adoring family around her at 10.30pm after an eight-year battle with cancer.

"She fought hard and her strength was inspiring right until the end. I will miss her forever and will do my best to be the loving selfless amazing mother to my children as she was to me."

"I'm so lucky to have Jodi and Koa and if we can give him a brother or sister, why wait?" Kian has previously told HELLO! magazine

Kian, 35, and Jodi, 31, married in May 2009 on the sunny island of Barbados. The couple welcomed their first child Koa in 2011 and again announced the birth on Facebook.

The Irish singer has previously spoken to HELLO! magazine about his desire to expand his family after winning I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2013. Having spent weeks in the Australian jungle, Kian realised how much he missed his wife and son.

"Being away from my family made me look at our lives," said Kian. "I was on top of the world and the only other time I'd felt like this was when we had Koa. I'd love to have a mini Jodi. I'm so lucky to have her and Koa and if we can give him a brother or sister, why wait?"

The former Hollyoaks actress added: "We were in the canteen just after he'd emerged from the jungle when he looked at me and said, 'We've got to have another baby!' I was stunned – but I'm all for it."
