It's been six months since Katherine Jenkins welcomed her baby daughter Aaliyah, and she is clearly head over heels in love. "She's amazing, I'm totally besotted with her," Katherine said during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show this week, as she opened up about her experiences of motherhood. One subject up for debate was which accent little Aaliyah will pick up; Katherine is Welsh, while her husband Andrew Levitas is American. "I worry about this all the time," Katherine admitted. "I'm very proud of my Welsh accent, I'd love her to have a Welsh accent, but I wonder if she's going to end up somewhere in the middle – if she's going to have one of those transatlantic messed-up accents, which I don't want her to have."

Katherine Jenkins is "totally besotted" by baby daughter Aaliyah

It's not the first time Katherine has spoken about her baby daughter. In an exclusive interview with HELLO! magazine in February, the 35-year-old gushed about her "very sweet, girlie little girl"."(She is) very smiley, happy and contented. But she is strong-willed and independent, too. She doesn't need to be fussed over," mezzo-soprano Katherine said. "I can already tell that she has a keen interest in music. I sing to her a lot when she needs entertaining. I sing You Are My Sunshine and, at bathtime, we sing all the usual nursery rhymes."

The star also revealed that parenthood has strengthened the bond between herself and Andrew. "Some people are quick to point out negative things: you'll never sleep again, you won't have a life. Yes, it has been tiring but it has been amazing. I'm so enjoying having this gorgeous little thing in my life," she said. "She has enriched us as a couple. We both love being a family and don't ever want to be apart from one another. She has completed us. We are a team."
