She appeared as part The Plastics in the 2004 teen movie Mean Girls, and now Lacey Chabert, who played Gretchen Wieners, is expecting her first baby with husband Dave Nehdar! But, the question is, will she be a regular mum or a cool mum?

Lacey is about to become a mum for the first time

The mum-to-be revealed the good news in a fun Instagram post. Dressing her dog in a slogan-print top, she wrote: "Kitty doesn't seem as excited about this as we are... I'm so happy to share the good news that my husband and I are expecting a baby later this year! We are thrilled and so thankful for this blessing ❤️ #pregnant."

The 33-year-old has been keeping her social media followers posted with photos of her bump, posing with friends who are also expecting.

Lacey announced her pregnancy with a fun snap

"Loved celebrating you and the little lady today at your baby shower! @alifedotowsky I can't wait to meet her ???????? ...and yes, it's mandatory to hold the bump in every single pic when you're pregnant ;) #babymannobabyshower," she wrote alongside a snap of her proudly holding her bump.

Lacey married her longterm boyfriend David Nehdar on 22 December 2013 in Los Angeles, announcing the news via Twitter on 4 January.

"I'm starting off 2014 as a Mrs!," she wrote. "Over the holidays, my best friend & love of my life...we became husband & wife! #soblessed #love."

The actress showed off her bump

The brunette beauty first reached fame for her role as Claudia Salinger in the American TV drama Party of Five between 1994 - 2000.

She won both the 1997 and 1998 Hollywood Reporter Annual Young Star Awards for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Drama TV series for her role in Party of Five.

The talented star then went on to provide the voice for Meg Griffin in the first production of the animated sitcom Family Guy, before appearing in Lost in Space, Not Another Teen Movie and Daddy Day Care.

Alongside Lacey, Mean Girls starred Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried. The hit movie, which Tina Fey wrote, won the 2005 MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Team.
