It's a boy! Anne Hathaway welcomes first child

Anne Hathaway and husband Adam Shulman have welcomed their first child together. The Intern actress gave birth to a baby boy named Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman in the early hours of Thursday 24 March, it has been confirmed. "The baby is extremely healthy and is surrounded by friends and family in LA," a source told E! News. "Anne and Adam are ecstatic to be parents."

The 33-year-old's pregnancy was revealed in November when she was pictured with a hint of a baby bump at red carpet events. Then in January, she proudly confirmed the news by showing off her belly in a red bikini."I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should be an image that makes me happy (and one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter :) )," she wrote alongside.

Anne celebrated the pending arrival of her baby on 5 March at a baby shower, where guests including Camila Alves McConaughey were seen arriving with gifts for the mummy-to-be and her child. A source told People at the time that "both Anne and Adam seem very excited about the baby".

The actress tied the knot with producer Adam in a romantic ceremony in front of close friends and family in Big Sur in September 2012. The couple started dating in late 2008 after being introduced by mutual friends, and by November 2011, Adam had popped the question.Anne has made no secret of her desire to start a family with Adam. Speaking to the Telegraph in 2014, the star said: "I'll start with one healthy kid but I'd like to have a few naturally and adopt. I gotta get on it, you know? I'd like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of times, because you want to make sure each one feels special."
