Congratulations to Simon Bird and his wife Lisa! The star of The Inbetweeners has let slip that he is now a father to a six-month-old baby boy. Simon, 31, also joked that his son is "quite judgemental".

The actor and his Friday Night Dinner co-star Tom Rosenthal were giving an interview when they spoke about Simon's little boy.

"His kid is actually great," said Tom. "He's got this bobbing head. And he's got this 'Simon Bird' slightly judgmental air about him."

After Tom spilled the beans, Simon added: "He is quite judgmental. He's only six months."

"He's only six months old but I feel like he's already patronising me. It's great," said Tom.

Simon and his wife Lisa met during their student days at the University of Cambridge, where they performed in a comedy sketch together.

The actor popped the question during a romantic trip to Paris and in 2012 the couple married.

The actor rose to fame in The Inbetweeners

Fans will recognise Simon from his role in The Inbetweeners. The Guildford-born star played the socially awkward teenager Will Mckenzie, who befriends a group of three other boys after moving from a public school to a comprehensive.

Following his success on the sitcom, Simon was cast in Friday Night Dinner, playing twenty-something musician Adam Goodman.
