See how much Rachel Riley's baby bump has grown as her due date nears

After a busy year getting married to husband Pasha Kovalev in Las Vegas and then announcing their baby news, Rachel Riley is now almost at full term of her pregnancy. And, with Rachel being eight months pregnant, the TV star and her former Strictly pro husband are no doubt on a 'countdown' (see what we did there?) to the birth of their child in December and becoming parents for the first time.

Ever since announcing her pregnancy earlier this year, the usually private star has been keeping fans updated with her pregnancy, posting some gorgeous shots of her growing baby bump. Let's take a look at Rachel Riley's pregnancy evolution...

A couple of weeks after Rachel revealed her baby news, the football-mad star attended Soccer Aid, where she showed the first hint of her growing bump. She paired her black jeans with a pretty red and green patterned blouse.

A few days later, the mum-to-be was spotted leaving the Countdown studios in Media City, Manchester. Pictured side on, Rachel's bump was clear to see.

Rachel and Pasha took part in Celebrity Gogglebox at the start of the summer and were pictured relaxing at their home.

In late June, the parents-to-be shocked the world when they eloped to Las Vegas. Rachel shared a photo after the ceremony and told fans: "Introducing the new Mr and Mrs Kovalev. We both said yes!" A source told The Sun: "They wanted to ensure it was just the two of them and everything was kept as quiet as possible. They did it in complete secrecy – even most of their friends and family had no idea they were going there to get married."

Rachel, who was previously married to her university sweetheart Jamie Gilbert, looked gorgeous in a red and white mini dress.

The newlyweds were spotted touching down at Heathrow Airport, London after their wedding. Pasha and Rachel, who wore a red striped billowing maxi, appeared to be in great spirits.

The couple jetted to Barcelona for their minimoon, spending a few days in the Spanish city. Rachel thanked fans for their well wishes, while also joking that her pregnancy glow was down to her summer makeup. "Quick thank you post! Family have said I'm glowing, they think it's the pregnancy, I think it's the summer sun skin stuff @ctilburymakeup sent me - thanks girls, loving it!" Rachel wrote.

As she entered her second trimester, Rachel showed off her growing bump in a gorgeous, fitted white summer dress. Teasing fans about her baby's gender, she wrote on Instagram: "Half-way bump and all brewing nicely! Mother's intuition says it's definitely a girl. Or a boy. Or a cockapoo... "

Their minimoon in Spain was the perfect opportunity for Rachel to relax in the sun – and show off her new figure in a bikini. The mother-to-be wowed fans with a bikini snapshot and another of herself wearing a poncho. Rachel revealed that Pasha had been digging holes in the sand to accommodate her growing bump – aww!

As Rachel approached her final trimester, her baby bump really started to pop. The pregnant star, who was just two months away from her due date, cradled her tummy on a night out at the theatre in October, when she attended the Groan Ups after-party. Rachel looked radiant in a blue leopard print mini dress.

Known for her charitable work, Rachel posted this picture on her Instagram in September, revealing to her followers that she was hosting the Greater Manchester Bee Glitz and Glamour Ball in October, to raise money for the families and victims of the Manchester Arena terrorist attack. Rachel looked radiant in a gorgeous pink coat, pairing it with a striped top.

A couple of weeks after, the mum-to-be attended the clothing launch of aptly named designer brand Rachel Riley. Rachel jokingly celebrated the convenience of sharing the name with the designer, meaning she would never have to worry about which clothes belonged to her child. "Huge thanks to fashion designer @rachelrileyuk for having the same name as me so I’ll never have to sew name tags into clothes for my little one!!" she wrote. Genius!

Later that month, Rachel and Pasha got suited and booted for a glam night in New York. The couple were attending the sixth annual gala for Algemeiner, an organisation which provides insight and news from the Jewish community in Israel, where Rachel received an award for her work in campaigning against anti-Semitism. Rachel looked stunning in a gorgeous pale blue dress which fitted over her bump perfectly.

In October, Rachel showed off some treats that she was gifted from a baby clothing company on her Instagram. Showing off an adorable baby grow, matching hat and dribble bib, Rachel looked relaxed and content in the picture and captioned the post: "Thanks to @frombabieswithlove for supporting @streetchilduk and for my lovely bits! Love your stuff and your ethos," she wrote, complete with love heart emojis. Adorable!

Rachel posted this adorable picture at the end of October while filming for her show Eight out of Ten Cats does Countdown. Rachel wrote: "Almost 8 months cooked and hiding places getting harder to come by..." followed by an excited face emoji and baby bump emoji. Not long to go now...
