Moisturising every morning is essential - it forms a barrier over skin that prevents water loss and thus the dryness that causes wrinkling. Your moisturiser should also contain a minimum SPF15 to protect against sunshine, another main cause of wrinkling. But make sure you allow time for it to fully absorb before applying your base – your skin should be dry to the touch before you start. If foundation mixes with any moisturiser still on top of the skin, you'll end up with a patchy base that looks greasy and slides off within hours, rather than one that's smooth and long-lasting. If you run out of time, place a tissue over your face and pat it against the skin to absorb any remnants.
