If you don't have time to let your moisturiser fully absorb into your skin before you apply your make-up – which will mean cosmetics just sit on top of it and slide off within a couple of hours – place a couple of tissues over your face and pat them on to your skin so they absorb the surface layer of moisturiser. If skin's oily and starts to shine during the day, do the same thing – although after a couple of gos, you'll have to start reapplying your make-up as the tissues will gather that up as well as oiliness. It's a far better trick than wiping your skin with your fingers, which will also wipe away all your make-up as well as transfer oil from your fingertips to your skin.
