Wrinkle worries start at age 24

Women begin to worry about the ageing process at the tender age of 24, a shocking new survey has revealed.

Furthermore, women start to purchase anti-ageing products at just 21, the poll commissioned by CACI Microlift facial toning device revealed.

However, women do not actually notice the onset of wrinkles until 28.

When it comes to ageing, many women blame their lifestyle. The survey revealed that 42 per cent were worried that their heavy drinking and smoking would speed up their chances of getting wrinkles.

Stress is also an important factor, with 57 per cent saying the stress of life and work was making them look older.

In terms of the areas we are most concerned about getting wrinkles, the eye area came out on top, with 76 per cent.

Other troublesome spots included the forehead, mouth and cleavage.

"We really wanted to try and pinpoint the age when women start to worry about ageing," comments Dean Nathanson, Managing Director at CACI Microlift.

"Although it may seem shocking that young women are concerned about wrinkles, it hasn't come as a huge surprise to us.

"From analysing the trends of people purchasing CACI Microlifts, we have seen younger women starting to buy the technology, to try and take control of the ageing process and mitigate its effects. The good news is that younger women are not taking drastic measures of having surgery or using botox, and are instead using non-surgical options."
