Christina Aguilera was looking every inch the blonde bombshell when she appeared in London to open the Harrods summer sale.
After arriving at the Kensington department store in a horse-drawn carriage, the pop starlet dazzled her British fans in a £3,000 Carlos Miele dress. And the Dirrty singer, who has reinvented herself as a classic screen siren, says we can expect to see more of her sophisticated new persona.
"I am going to explore the music and art of the 1920s, '30s and '40s which will be an image change," she said. "It's that whole world of glamour and stars like Marlene Dietrich and Marilyn Monroe."
Once she had greeting the hundreds of fans who turned out to see her, the 23-year-old headed inside to check out the bargains. "I love a spree," admitted the chanteuse. "Shopping is definitely one of my vices."
One of the first things she tried on was a £37,600 Piaget diamond necklace, which had been reduced to £18,000. She then inspected a £308,000 Audemars Piguet watch, which was on offer for £124,000. But in the end it was the lingerie department where she decided to splash out.
"I usually only wear Agent Provocateur but the John Galliano collection here is fabulous," she said, before spending £6,000 on designer underwear.
