Brit-winner Kylie turns presenter at this year's awards ceremony

19 JANUARY 2009
More used to receiving Brit awards than handing them out, Kylie Minogue has ensured this year's ceremony will be a 'must-see event' after signing up as a co-presenter.

Bringing international star power to the February 18 ceremony at Earls Court, the Aussie pop princess will join Gavin And Stacey stars James Corden and Mathew Horne to host the event.

With other big names in the industry lending their talents to proceedings, including U2, Girls Aloud and Duffy, the Brits already promises to be a special night.

Helping get the countdown underway, on Tuesday Fearne Cotton fronts a show during which this year's nominees will be announced.

While The Pet Shop Boys are assured a big evening, having been named winners of the outstanding contribution prize, other awards - including favourite British single and best breakthrough act - are determined by members of the public casting their vote online.
