Things appear to be getting serious between Madonna and her young boyfriend Jesus Luz. According to the 22-year-old model's dad Luiz Heitor, the couple are planning to take part in a Kabbalah commitment ceremony together.

"He is very happy and this ceremony would just confirm that," Mt Heitor told a Brazilian magazine. "My understanding is that (the ceremony) is just a consequence of what is happening. He is already living with her," he confirmed.

"I don't know if there will be an actual wedding. From what I have read there could be a sort of ritual, but I don't know Kabbalah… to know if it's valid and legal." The ceremony, which will take place in New York, could happen as early as this weekend.

It seems Madonna, whose eight-year marriage to British director Guy Ritchie ended last year, has made a good impression on Jesus' dad. "We've already spoken on the phone in French because I don't speak English fluently, and she seemed like a normal person," he revealed. "She is calm, feminine – I didn't feel any harshness. She was very polite."

News of the ceremony follows the couple's first public appearance together at the Met Ball two weeks ago. Despite reports earlier this year that the pair had broken up they seem to be going from strength to strength.

Importantly the Brazilian hunk, who met the 50-year-old queen of pop at a December photo shoot, has bonded with Madonna's children, Lourdes, 12, eight-year-old Rocco, and David, three.

"My son is charismatic, he likes children, he has an excellent relationship with her children," Luiz Heitor added. "He plays football with them."
