Warm homecoming for Susan Boyle as she rejoins Britain's Got Talent tour in Glasgow

Scotland welcomed Susan Boyle back to the Britain's Got Talent tour with open arms on Monday evening.

Performing on the same stage where she sang her world famous audition song, the West Lothian star received a standing ovation from her fellow Scots as she belted out two tracks at Glasgow's SECC arena. After missing out on two concerts in Manchester on Sunday while she rested, Susan delighted her Glaswegian fans with powerful renditions of I Dreamed A Dream – the West End track which shot her to international fame - and Cats' hit Memories

Glamorous in a sparkling dress, the 48-year-old blew kisses to the audience at the gig, evidently over the moon to rejoin the nine other finalists from the talent show, as well as last year's winner George Sampson, in her homeland. "She was great and deserved every bit of support she got, and she got the loudest cheer of the evening," one fan from Motherwell said. That sentiment was echoed by another supporter who added: "I thought she was fantastic, she brought tears to my eyes."

Susan, who is expected to stay with the 20-date tour until it ends in Bournemouth in July, will be going ahead with her performance in Edinburgh on Tuesday her publicist has confirmed. Just under two weeks ago she checked out of a private clinic in London after spending a short time there suffering from exhaustion.
