This summer's Ashes have unearthed an unlikely cricket fan – pop star Lily Allen.
The 24-year-old singer was among the crowd watching the fifth test at the Oval this week as England took on Australia on day one of the deciding match of the series.
With England's hopes resting on the game to win back the famous urn from their Aussie rivals, Lily proudly displayed her patriotism with a St George's flag painted on her cheek.
Lily knows her stuff when it comes to the gentleman's game. She was clearly gripped by the match, looking tense at times. And she couldn't resist taking to her Twitter page to share her thoughts on the game.
"Collingwood is dull. He'll probably still be batting when I'm back here at the Oval on Saturday, having scored no runs," she tweeted.
She also shared pictures of herself and her friends with followers.
Noticeably absent from her personal selection of photos, however, was one of the man rumoured to be her new boyfriend, builder Sam Cooper.
But snappers captured Lily - who was given a set of headphones to listen to the commentary as she watched - sitting alongside Sam. At one point she even gave him a tender kiss.
Last week the pop dynamo insisted the pair are just good friends – again via Twitter.
"Sam Cooper (a close friend) keeps being referred to as a painter and decorator, which is fine. He is actually a builder and runs his own firm," she tweeted.
For now, though, Lily's first love seems to be cricket. Earlier this month she attended the third test, later concluding: "I think I might try and get into cricket commentary once I've finished singing."
