Danny O'Donoghue has denied reports that he was romantically involved with Bo Bruce. The Voice coach described rumours that he and last year's runner-up, Bo, were in a relationship as "false", claiming that they only worked together.
"For me I was more impressed by her story," said Danny in relation to the sad news of Bo's mother's death shortly after the series finished. "About how she can overcome tragedy. It's such a powerful message," he added.
"We decided to let the story run to keep her name in the papers," said Script front man Danny, who co-wrote some of Bo's latest album. "So that she was still in the public sphere when she released a single."
Dublin-born Danny, who has claimed he became a "bit of a recluse" following his immense success on The Voice, has previously said he is open to the idea of dating contestants on the show.
"I wouldn't rule out dating a fan," said Danny. "Or a contestant, no I wouldn't," he added.
This series Danny has admitted to taking a shine to former Hollyoaks actress Alice Barlow during her audition.
"I don't think there is a red-blooded man in the world who wouldn't find her attractive," said the coach, before confirming he is still single.
Fellow judge on The Voice, Sir Tom Jones, has been turning on the charm for contestants according to Danny.
"Tom switches it on and all the girls are looking over to him," he said, adding that it is Sir Tom who gets all the female attention when they are together.
