Beyoncé dispels baby rumours with triumphant return to the stage

Singer Beyoncé Knowles dispelled any idea that she might be pregnant when she resumed her Mrs Carter World Tour in Belgium this week. The rumour mill went into overdrive when Beyoncé sported a rounded tummy during a previous show and was then forced to cancel one of her gigs due to dehydration and exhaustion. However, the Angel singer put paid to those rumours with a blistering comeback in the Belgian town of Antwerp.

The concert had all the glamour and high-energy dance routines that have made the Mrs Carter Tour a global hit so far. Beyoncé herself was on fine form as she took to the stage in the custom-made, peplum one-piece that is fast becoming an iconic look in her shows. The beaded bodice's cinched-in waist gave no sign of a baby bump. It was business as usual for the pop powerhouse, who is mum to one-year-old Blue Ivy, her child with rapper Jay-Z. Beyoncé herself fuelled baby rumours when she said she would like a sibling for her daughter after enjoying such a close relationship with her DJ sister, Solange.

Speaking during an interview on ABC's Good Morning America, she said, "I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister." Asked when she might fall pregnant again, Beyoncé replied, "At some point, when it's supposed to happen." Friends say the time might be right when Beyoncé's 65-date tour ends later this year.
