Essex-born Jo sang in clubs before hitting the big time at the age of 20 when she joined Nineties pop group S Club 7. The outfit sold 14 million albums before going their separate ways in 2003. These days the pretty blonde, whose voice has been likened to that of Karen Carpenter, is a solo artist. Her profile received a boost in 2007 when she participated in the popular reality show Celebrity Big Brother.
