Born in Hagley, Worcestershire, to a Croatian mother and scaffolding business-owner father, Adrian earned a degree in English Literature at the University of London before enrolling on a journalism course in Cardiff. After a stint as a sports reporter with a newspaper he joined the BBC originally for three week's work experience. By 1993 he was presenting Radio 4's Financial World Tonight followed by Wake Up To Money. Since then he's fronted numerous TV shows, including So What Do You Do All Day? and Who Do You Think You Are?. In 2004 the passionate West Bromwich Albion football supporter landed a dream job on Match of The Day. He's also hosted Working Lunch and Have I Got News For You. Since 2006 he's been associated with the One Show alongside Christine Bleakley and The Apprentice: You're Fired!. In September 1998 he married Women's Hour presenter Jane Garvey with whom he has two daughters, Evelyn and Sian. The couple separated in June 2008.
