Patricia Arquette is an American actress. She was born in 1968 to Lewis Arquette, an actor, and Brenda Olivia 'Mardi' (née Nowak), who worked as a therapist. Her family lived on a commune in Bentonville, Virginia for a period of time. Patricia's entire family are performers, her siblings David, Rosanna, Alexis and Richmond.

Her talent led to her starring role in her own TV show Medium and an Oscar-winning role in the film Boyhood. Over the next few years, her career spanned Quentin Tarantino's classic True Romance with Christian Slater, Ed Wood opposite Johnny Depp, and Flirting with Disaster. Medium, in which she starred as a psychic ran for seven years and garnered her several award nominations and an Emmy.

In 2018, it was announced that the star would be starring in the Hulu series The Act, which premiered March 2019 to critical acclaim. She received another Emmy for the series, and in 2022, Patricia began co-starring in the Apple TV thriller series Severance, also directed by Stiller. The series has since received critical acclaim.

When she was 20, Patricia had a son named Enzo with her boyfriend Argentine musician Paul Rossi. In 1995, she wed Nicolas Cage – a union that lasted five years. Her mother died of cancer during the tempestuous marriage, followed soon after by her father. Patricia's second husband was Thomas Jane, the father of her daughter Harlow who was born in February 2003. They divorced in 2011. The A-lister supports organizations in Haiti, working on education, health and sanitation. She has also worked with Eracism Foundation, Libby Ross Foundation, The Art of Elysium, and The Heart Truth.
